Market Sneak Peek - Easter 2024

All But Alchemy (top left), Avocado Handmade (top right), JJ Crochets (bottom left) and Laurien Smith Art (bottom right).

Our first artisan markets of the year will be taking place from 30th March - 1st April. Here’s a first look at a few of the fabulous makers you can discover this Easter weekend…

Saturday 30th March

All But Alchemy - Heather has been perfecting her soap recipes over the past two years since completing her diploma in soap making. She now creates a range of hand soaps, shower steamers and bath bombs all carefully hand made using essential oils.

Jj Crochets - Jj has been crocheting since her early teens. As well as designing and publishing her own range of amigurumi patterns online, she also creates her own range of toys to sell at makers markets.

Fans of rustic home decor will be thrilled to see the different products created by Dove Woodturnery (Top Left), Ken’s Woodcraft Creations (Bottom Left), and CB Arts and Crafts (right) all exhibiting with us on Saturday 30th March.

Sunday 31st March

KJ Creations - Karen Jane has been fascinated by glass since an early age. She has previously created artwork using acrylic paints on canvas but in 2020 began to experiment with glass painting. Following the encouragement of family and friends, she has now turned her hobby into a small business.

Nature’s Traits Shea - Deidrea began making body butters as a way to experiement with her skincare and incorporate more natural ingrediants. Her range now includes hand balm, lip balm and hair oil to name just a few.

30th March - 1st April

Millie Moth

Karen’s vibrant floral artwork is created using alcohol ink pens along with drops of neat alcohol to give an ethereal effect to her designs.

I’m sure many of you will recognise Karen as a regular stallholder at Tissington Craft Fair.

31st March and 1st April

Phil Sproson Photography

The Peak District is a great influence in Phil’s work and features in many of the prints, cards and jigsaw puzzles you will see on his stall.

Phil has been a popular maker at a number of our previous markets and you may also be familiar with his work, which is displayed in many prominent locations across the Peak District.

Monday 1st April

Avocado Handmade - Gerry has been running her environmentally conscious business since 2018 and is always looking for new ways to help people to reduce their household waste. Her range of reusable products now include un-paper towels, food wraps, panty liners, hankies and make up remover pads to name just a few.

Laurien Smith Art - Laurien works on her art business part time alongside her role as a primary school teacher. As a keen nature lover, she enjoys discovering unusual birds and observes different species whilst out in her garden or walking in the Peak District. Her detailed watercolour artwork brings these beautiful creatures to life on prints, cards and coasters.
