We are delighted to be holding artisan markets during Tissington Well Dressing 2025!
Join us on the last three days of Tissington Well Dressing week as we bring you a selection of the finest handmade products and original artwork from around the local region, carefully chosen to take part in these very special artisan markets.
Our focus on quality, variety and originality ensures that each item comes with its own unique story, offering visitors the chance to connect with the maker behind the piece and gain a deeper appreciation for their skill and dedication as well as discover any bespoke options that may be available after the market.
From free motion embroidered artwork to quilted homewares, each day we feature a changing line up of small artisan businesses so there is always something new to discover every time you visit our makers market.
Our venue, Tissington Village Hall, is located between the Town Well and the Yew Tree Well. You will find us directly across the road from the village pond, which is an ideal spot to watch the adorable ducklings.
A Cherished Local Tradition
This Peak District tradition has been a part of Tissington life for centuries and we feel very privileged to be a part of it. There are 6 wells in the village, each dressed with a design created entirely from natural materials including coffee beans, leaves and petals from local flowers. The dressings are erected on the eve of Ascension Day (Wednesday 28th May) and will remain in place until the following Wednesday evening (4th June).
