Looking for a tranquil escape for the Summer Bank Holiday weekend? Then look no further than Tissington, where you can wind down and enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating day out as well as visiting our fabulous artisan market!
At Tissington Craft Fairs, we take great pride in curating artisan markets that showcase the finest handcrafted and independently designed products.
Our focus on quality and originality ensures that each item comes with its own unique tale, offering visitors the chance to connect with the maker behind the piece and gain a deeper appreciation for their skill and dedication. At this weekends market visitors can explore a diverse selection of products from nature inspired printmaking and artwork to to mid century style ceramics, traditional stained glass and whimsical needle felted animals.
The picture postcard village of Tissington is located just a few minutes drive from the popular market town of Ashbourne in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District. Our venue, Tissington Village Hall, is located across the road from the idyllic village duck pond which with the arrival of spring, becomes an ideal spot for watching the adorable ducklings, adding an extra touch of delight to your visit.
This Weekend's Makers
Our makers markets feature a changing lineup of small artisan businesses to provide an exciting and enjoyable experience every time you visit.
Here's a sneak peek at some of the stalls you can expect to discover:
Printmaking inspired by flora and fauna by Marie Keane Art - (24th August)
Inspired by the textures and landscape of the natural world, Marie’s artwork makes reference to the areas where she works and travels. Using a mix of mark making techniques and lino cutting tools, her range utilises both a traditional representation of her subject whilst also having a contemporary look. Her range of cards, prints, and gifts bring a little piece of the natural world into your home.
Traditional Stained Glass by LindaS Art Glass - (24th - 26th August)
Linda works as a full time glass artist and uses traditional lead came and copper foil to create a myriad of unique pieces including stained glass ornaments, art panels and windows. She also uses fused glass techniques to create jewellery and ornaments.
100% Natural Skincare by Our Lovely Naturals - (24th August)
Knowing that skincare products can contribute to environmental issues, Eve was keen to find a solution. Having sensitive skin herself also made her aware of the difference natural skincare can make to your cleansing routine, so Our Lovely Naturals was born! As well as carefully chosen natural ingredients including oils, butters and essential oils her soaps are also packaged in seeded paper so you can grow wildflowers after you’ve finished the product. Her range includes soaps (for humans, dogs and horses), balms, bath salts, lotions and pillow spray which all allow you to enjoy effective natural skincare whilst enhancing your cleansing experience.
Other makers this weekend include:
